Environment and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for Restoration of degraded Forest

This project was to identify, measure, report and remediate the contamination/pollution on Environmental Factors such as Soil, Ground Water and Air by the Pesticide Manufacturing Unit in operation many years before the country EPA came into force. During our detailed study, the risk exposure on Soil, Ground Water, and Air was identified and measured, and we decontaminated these using chemical and biological remedial treatments. After the completion of the project, the groundwater, soil, and air quality were successfully improved at the site, which helped in the flourishing of flora and fauna in the area. This exercise in the long term helps the atmosphere heal slowly from the effects of harmful chemicals.

Advisory in reducing GHG emissions from degradation of Bio-Waste

The objective of the project was to reduce the GHG emissions due to degradation of bio-waste. This was UNDP supported Project in Europe.  The best possible way identified was to focus on reduction of quantity of bio-waste which was disposed to landfills. This was achieved by educating the community to follow best sustainable practices. This project was successfully reduced GHG emissions generated due to bio-waste. Furthermore, sustainable waste management practices were adopted for Landfill operations to reduced GHG emissions at landfill.

Environmental Audit and designing an Environmental Social Management Plan for a Nuclear Power Generation Plant

We audited the Nuclear Power Generation Plant for Environment, Safety, and Health perspectives. Based on the findings, we designed an Environment, Safety, and Health (EHS) Management Plan prepared with the Mapping of priorities, and training regarding health safety practices was also imparted. The audit findings improved overall Environment, Health, and Safety practices at the plant. Also helped them set up a tracking and reporting mechanism for various types of pollution.

Assessment of Municipal Solid Waste Processing Unit for Effective Operations

This study was conducted to devise a plan for solid waste treatment for multiple localities. For this study, our teams performed characterization of waste, on-site which was received from different dumping locations and at different intervals. Based on the findings, various waste processing units were planned for allowable Solid Waste which is processed further for converting it to manure and generating electricity in form of Methane. The remaining waste, which is not utilized in this process, was later segregated to generate Refused Derived Fuel (RDF). The remaining inorganic waste was used for construction-related purposes as a raw material. The outcome of the studies directed the company to set up cost-effective and efficient operational processes. Further, it also helped to forecast the final output with improved precision from the project thus improving productivity and better economic viability for the project.

Sustainability Study for a client in FMCG manufacturing

The studies were conducted for a reputed client in the Food manufacturing Industry. We audited and assessed the various Manufacturing Units of the client, studied sustainable manufacturing and business practices, studied various existing policies, identified the inherent risks in various processes, and recommended risk mitigation solutions.  This exercise helped the company to identify key risk areas and establish new and more sustainable processes. We also helped the company with implementing a software-based tracking mechanism to measure Environmental Pollution caused by the company and thus timely limiting it.

Shaping the Sustainability journey of a Financial Advisory

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to transform our world. They are a call to action to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy health, justice, and prosperity. We advised and helped a leading Global Financial Advisory in identifying and reporting its Sustainability practices.

According to Company’s Ethos and during discussions it was reflected that the employees are its most important Asset and Stakeholders and thus, we helped the company highlight the practices being followed by them which are focused on the development of the employees and their growth. We also assessed the Client Data Protection practices implemented in the organization as well as guided the company on the various policy and framework formulations, required to achieve the company’s good governance goals. This exercise helped the company identify the areas where it needs to make more targeted efforts, as well as communicate its values and beliefs to its various Stakeholders and showcase how are they currently working towards arranging Thematic financing in developing markets and advancing towards its journey of being a more Sustainability focused Business.

Environmental Risk Assessment Report for a proposed Hotel Property

An Environmental Risk Assessment was conducted for a Hotel property proposed to be built in an area having critical climate conditions. A complete mapping of meteorological parameters along with the weather pattern was studied and impacts were predicted using AI software tools. We also serviced other requirements for Environment Compliance requirements, evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actionable steps to mitigate the Risk on the property over a minimum of 10 years using a Risk Assessment Scorecard.

Preconstruction Land Disturbance Survey & Reporting for Rail line project

For the purpose of building a new network of rail routes, this study was specially conducted in line with IFC standards. A preconstruction land disturbance survey was conducted during the study considering potential & residual impacts on the environment & people, providing solutions to mitigate the impacts during construction as well as the operation phase of a new Railway line network in a region of Africa. The report included multiple aspects such as Biodiversity restoration, minimizing the Land Disturbance impact, Influx Management, and saving Cultural Heritage, and this railway line in turn has acted as a boost to social infrastructure and better connectivity.

Sustainability Expertise in Solid Waste Management and Clean-up Projects

Our experts have guided and developed Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan for a country in Europe, which focused on GHG emission reduction, enhancing the circular economy, opting for more sustainable practices, waste preventive programs, and creating new products from the waste stream. Further, have also guided the government and played a key role in assessing and cleaning/remediating the solid waste management sites near rivers, lakes, water bodies, etc.  This has helped keep the water sources, away from contamination.

Sustainable Expertise – Policy Framing & Implementation

Acting as a part of the expert group of advisors to the Government, our experts have guided and supported Governments to bring positive change to the country. This was aimed at strengthening local capacities for diversifying sources and options for a resource-efficient economy. This was achieved by bringing together policymakers, businesses, and civil society at the local level. For more sustainable practices of the Government, the evaluation of green products and the evaluation of barriers to generating Green Public Procurement were studied and recommendations were provided to the Government on it along with the promotion of Eco labels and usage of Clean Fuels. In addition to this, as a part of the expert group, also helped Government to develop a framework for a National Strategy and Action plan for the reduction of Green House Gases emissions.

Environmental and Social Due diligence – Hydrocarbon Contamination

This was a World Bank-funded project where we assessed the hydrocarbon contamination in one of the biggest biodiversity hubs of the world. This was a country-wide study of hydrocarbon contamination. Various Gas Stations, Aviation Depots, Ports, and Refineries were audited and contamination in Ground Water, Surface Water, Soil, Sediment, Sea Water & Air was measured and remediated. The entire project improves the Ground Water, Surface Water, Soil, Sediment, Sea Water and Air quality. The project also helps to restore the biodiversity of the country in infected areas.
