Dr. Richmond Antwi-Bediako

Dr. Richmond Antwi-Bediako leads interdisciplinary Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) consultancies and research in line with environment and Social Safeguards, sustainability, land governance, Land and environmental justice, Natural resources and climate mitigation and adaptation programs, assessing environmental impacts and local socio-economic development, policy rationality for development, and investment-induced impacts. He has geographical and field research experience in Africa, especially Ghana, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Cote d'ivoire. To develop these interdisciplinary consultancies and research he has been awarded more than €1 million in grant funding and consultancy fees by a number of organisations such as Africa Development Bank; Amandi-SAL- IFC; UNDP-Green Climate Fund-GCF-Forestry Commission-FC; Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), IUCN-NL, Care International-DANIDA, UNDP-GEF, IUCN-NL, International Cocoa Initiative, Vimetco Bauxite, Endeavour Mining, BXC Limited, Golden Star Limited, Forestry Commission (Ghana), Abosso Goldfields, Golden Star Wassa Mining Company. As an ESG expert, Richmond has produced 15 publications on Environment and Social governance, and is passionate about ESG qualitative research and financing, field surveys, teaching, and training. His work significantly contributes to influencing investor’s ESG readiness and project financing.

Dr. Richmond has over 20 years of experience in mainstream jobs, consultancies, teaching and research and has worked on project commissioned by Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) too in addition to various other projects.

Richmond possesses a multidimensional educational background having been educated in Ghana, USA and Europe with both natural science and development backgrounds and a blend of work experience in the Environmental, Social and Governance, Research and Development. He holds a Doctoral degree in International Development from Utrecht University, Netherlands, a Master Degree in Environmental Management and Policy; a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and Biology, and a Diploma in Laboratory Technology from University of Cape Coast. In addition, he attained other associate certificates from University of California, Berkeley; Wageningen International, Netherlands; and Danish Institute for Human Right, Denmark; where he studied Environmental Leadership, Sustainable Energy and Environmental Management; Organizational Change management; Conflict management; and Local Governance for rural Development.

In addition to these career accomplishments, Dr. Richmond has also completed various certifications in the ESG domain like Environment Leadership Certificate, Conflict management, Organizational change management, Wetland and Poverty reduction and many more from various Institutions of Global repute.

Andrew Dhebideen

Andrew Dhebideen is a Civil Engineer with 24 years of work experience in Project Management, Marketing, Planning, research, investigations and assessments along with training and mentoring. Few of his key project have been - as a Project Representative for -Habitat for Humanity South Africa on the eThekwini Special Needs Housing Project in Umgababa - construction of 1000 houses (2018 to 2021) by Community Based Organizations via the Enhanced People's Housing Process.
-UMhlatuze Local Municipality, for Development of the Operating License Strategy and the Rationalisation Plan of the 2019-2024 Comprehensive Integrated Transport Plan.
-Umdoni local municipality, for Rehabilitation of community access roads (damaged during the 2008 storms along the KwaZulu-Natal coastal belt) As part of his work profile, he has great understanding of the various processes under Contract Management and municipal management including preparation of tender documents and project specifications, Tender adjudication, site supervision and project administration. Also, including Institutional restructuring of municipal programme management unit, Investigation in establishing a development agency for a district municipality and Investigation in to the feasibility of establishing a Transport Authority in terms of new legislation. Through his various works he has also gained expertise in Cost assessments and feasibility studies, stormwater management planning and Engineering services design, public transport infrastructure planning, Water reticulation for rural residential areas, Stormwater reticulation for residential townships and secondary roads, Design of roads for residential townships, road upgrades, improvements and routine maintenance Owing to the vast project experience, Andrew has been instrumental in bringing up the thought of supporting & working on ESG aspects of the various projects and their implementation along with engagement of the various stakeholders involved. Several feasibility / ESIA reports prepared for various projects under his supervision gave a further impetus for full-fledged creation of an organization which provides end-to-end support to its various clients, focused exclusively around ESG requirements - irrespective of size, sector and geography.
